Welcome to Thrilling Pony Tales! To help facilitate people getting to know each other better, this thread is for introducing yourself and telling everyone how you do. I recommend including your previous RPG experience and interests with regards to RPGs, but you can talk about anything else you think is relevant.
I'm Rodger Marsh, creator of the Savage World of My Little Pony roleplaying game system and one of your admins! I've been playing roleplaying games for 5 years now, and have had previous experience with Dungeons and Dragons (2nd, 3.5, and 4th editions), Savage Worlds (Solomon Kane, Space: 1889, 50 Fathoms), Old World of Darkness (Vampire, Hunter), and a few other random systems.

Hey I'm Christopher, about half of my friends calls me tigga (which is a short form of my nick I have used since I was 14 - that is 10 years now!) Anyway, I've been playing roleplaying games for over 10 years now (with a pause of maybe 5 years), but I was a bad player until about half a year ago (when I begun playing games again); now I consider myself a good player I'm mostly a writer (of fanfictions and campaigns - yay!), but I'm a musician too. And I currently study Electronics at a school for applied science in Germany

I am Hunterwolf and I am pretty new to the tabletop RPG scene. As of right now I have been playing/co-GMing in the "In Her Majesty's Service" campaign for about a year now. Other than that I have brief forum RP experience(as a wolf and as a clone trooper from Star Wars) but the only system I've come to know is SW:MLP.
EDIT: Yay for muffins for reading Knightgliders post all the way through!

Hi, I'm Equestrian Wyvern, I have several years of experience with a large assortment of Game Systems as a player (formerly some experience GMing) (examples include D&D 1e, 3e,3.5e,4e, Savage Worlds, GURPS, Shadowrun, and more). Really none of the campaigns I have taken part of are of particular note in my personal opinion.

Ello. I'm Mariangela. I am very new to the tabletop RPG world, having heard of The Savage Worlds of MLP on the BronyShow podcast. But I've been in about 20 different text based RPs in forums and such, so I know my way around character creation, playing by the rules, all those good things that most love to have in an RP.
Afraid my brain has completely stalled out though, so I dunno what else to say. I'm hoping to be able to join one of these fine RPs sometime. I just need to get myself more familiar with the game and the various workings of it.
Glad to be here, thanks Roger for notifying me of this forums and looking forward to enjoying some good gaming.

I'm Toboe LoneWolf, the other main co-GM for In Her Majesty's Service. I know nothing knew nothing have only experience in SW:MLP gaming with a scattering of Pathfinder (read: two sessions); more background in text-based RPs. I apparently have a tendency to play with dice mechanics and bluffing that I totally know what I'm doing when the party splits five ways. (It's a GM skill, I tell you).

Yo! I'm Just A Blank Flank, a pony vector artist.
My RPG experience is rather slim right now; one session of SW:MLP and two sessions of D&D 4th edition, but I'm always looking forward to my next game.

'sup everybrony. I'm Knight Glider and this is my story.
So, RPG-wise, I was introduced to the world of RPGs back in the late 1980s/early 1990s via a little game for the Apple IIe/C64 called Deathlord (rather fun and chalenging still if you like retro/emulator gaming). Later on, I got into MUDs in the mid 90's, even serving a brief stint as a content builder on one (removed in short order for the kind of tomfoolish asshattery that happens when you give 14 year old kid god powers). Later, when I got a better computer system, I got hooked on WoW (tried LotRO and DDO for a bit, but just couldn't get into 'em as much).
As for single-player RPGs, until quite recently I mostly favored the SNES-era JRPGs (FF IV, FF VI, Chrono Trigger). A couple years ago, on a recomendation from my cousin, I tried Dragon Age and loved it. So much so that I bought all the DLC as it came out and the sequel. Then, hearing good things, I tried Skyrim. The interface took some getting used to after so much WoW and DA, with their button-based UIs, but now it's one of my faves.
As for tabletop/pen & paper, I never really tried it until Rodge got the "try it out" thing for SW:MLP there on DA. Having heard the Bronyville sessions, I was eager to try. I did find it really fun, if a bit lengthy. I'd totally be up for it again.
Other types of games I like include Turn-based strategy(Civ, Master of Orion, etc.), chess (as if my character didn't make that obvious) and Monopoly.
---------- As for fandoms, I've been in (and still am in) many. I'm a Trekker, a Jedi, a (Sailor) Moonie (as well as too many other anime to list), etc. And, of course, a Brony. Like probably a lot of others, my first exposure to MLP:FIM was the memes. After a while, I got curious, took a look, and found that the show was actually good. The rest, as they say, is history.
As for my contribution to fandoms, I like to write fanfic. Unfortunately, I have never yet finished one. I have a tendancy to start going too epic and then write myself into a corner. I have written (or attempted to write) 2-3 Sailormoon fics, 1 fic for Phoneix Wright: Ace Attorney, and, thus far, 1 MLP:FIM fic. All incomplete (though the FIM one is officially just "on hiatus").
-------------- As for my character - well I'm not sure if we intro our characters here or somewhere else, so I will hold off for now. I will say, though, that my character's story is tied in with my incomplete fic. ----------------
And, as an homage to Bronyville - the 2 questions: Favorite character: Scootaloo. I like her thirst for adventure. (I would say Derpy, but I don't think she counts really, since her whole personality - job of mailpony, motherhood of Dinky, possible relationship with Doctor Whooves - was all made by us fans. Derpy is best fannon pony). Favorite episode: Baby Cakes - I'd really like to see Pound & Pumpkin come back.
Anyhoo, if you're still here after that wall of text, congrats. Have a muffin.

What am I suppose to say? I never was good at writing things. Birthday cards, homework, incident reports... anyway.
Hi, I am Hector. Nice to meet you. Basically, like to be kind, honest, and have fun.

Hi everyone! I posted on the wrong page . As I mentioned there, I'm still fairly new to forums. Anyway, I'm Pastelina, or Dracocrochet, or Emily Jean, whatever floats your boat. I love to draw and crochet and I've played a few role playing games. I'm currently in school studying Zoology, and hoping to become a Herpetologist. By the way, if you're interested, here's my deviant art : dracocrochet.deviantart.com/

Hello hello! I'm Pingcode, first time on these nice new forums but long time tabletop gamer. I don't remember when I started playing, but it was years ago, taking me from the Wizards of the Coast forums, to Nationstates, to Giant in the Playground, to Myth Weavers, to Ponygoons, Pony Tales, and now Here!
My experience is mostly in DnD 3.5 and onwards, though I've played in a smattering of other systems and more recently Savage Worlds.

A little extra about myself that I just don't feel like adding into an edit. I currently work a night shift, so I'm hoping to find a game that would run at night in the central timezone or players that are in a totally different timezone. So anyone who runs night games or people who are in a different timezone who are looking for people who are awake at those times. If I need to add this as an edit to my original posting, then please let me know. Thank you.

Hay hay hay, I'm Warp. Or Autumn, whichever you prefer. Nice to meet you! I've only been RPGin' for a couple years now, having only gotten into them when I got into ponies, but I've basically jumped into the deep end, as it were, and have been actively gaming in at least one campaign weekly ever since 2011 when I first joined Four Ride Forth. I've got pretty extensive experience playing SW:MLP, obviously, and have also played quite a bit of D&D 4e too. I've had fairly in depth experience with the GM side of things when it comes to 4e as well, having run a fairly lengthy campaign over the course of several months back in 2011-2012. Sadly, though, I had to ultimately cancel it before I could finish it because of personal reasons. But, it's alright, there's always next time! I actually do have a few ideas for some one shot sessions/mini adventures I'd like to try to flesh out and run, so having this forum will be a nice motivation to get that done. Celestia knows I could use the experience GMing SW, after all

Hello all, I am a brony from the midwest.
Me and another GM are currently taking turns running capaigns for the group I play in. Our current campaign that I am running is 'Garden of Shadows'. Garden of Shadows has been a departure from normal campaigns and is based off the Children of the Night/dreamwalker mythos.
The timeline our group plays in is right after the season 3 intro. No episodes after episode 2 are considered cannon for simplicity sake.
As for my main character, I play a ex military unicorn mechanic named Quin Longhoof. I have found my character to fill the role of main caster.

Howdy, all! I know my username says MenOfDragons, but I also go by Axel.
My RPG experience is pretty big for having only played for one year. I play 3-5 games a week, ranging from Pathfinder, 4e, and 3.5, to Exalted and Savage Worlds of Ponies, and I've played such systems as Maid the RPG, Dark Heresy, D&D first edition, regular Savage Worlds, Cthulutech, Shadow Run, Lady Blackbird, Mouseguard, and Ghost/Echo. I've even been working on a home grown system form Monster Hunter. But this board is about pony stuff XP
I'm a player in the same group as Quindo. I also run some other games for when we need a break from ponies, be it a Pathfinder game for long term story, or a game of Maid the RPG.
My SWoMLP character is named Turner Gear. He is an earth pony artisan engineer. He's very blunt, a heavy drinker, and is the most casual of his group. (Quindo, Quin Longhoof doesn't count as casual, he counts as crazy. XP )
