Dark plots are ahoof in the Lands of Equestria. The Agents of the Sorcerer Glostix make their moves unchecked as the Realms argue over who is to blame for the decaying state of the kingdom at large. Following the disappearance of the 6 Knights of Harmony, the Council of 3 has put a call out to the 6 Realms for ponies to stand in their place. Timeline InfoThis campaign takes place roughly 1600 years prior to the return of Nightmare Moon, between the formation of the Equestrian Coalition and Discord's reign (and before Celestia and Luna). Setting Info
Realms of the KingdomSpecial Rules War Magic - This not an era of peace, so War Magic is actively practiced by some ponies. As such you are allowed to learn War Magic, though any such spells count as one rank higher. Altering the Past - Barring a thorough and dedicated attempt on the part of the player, you cannot mess up the show timeline, and attempting such may result in Discord's premature arrival (which will not end well) Character Creation Rules Knight of the Realm - Each pony player will serve as a Knight of the Realm for one of the 6 Realms of Equestria (Not including Harmony) granted on a first come first serve basis. At the very least you must describe in addition to your character, who the leader of the Realm is and why you were chosen (Its not entirely a good thing being chosen) however you are encouraged to define more about your realm.(of course the GM can veto it, but I will avoid doing so unless it interferes with my plothooks) Non-Pony PCs - Allowed, though ask me for more details. Combat Experience - to help you out a little bit, all PCs have Parry equal to 3 + half their fighting (net bonus of +1) LogisticsSessions are 6PM Pacific on Saturdays (starting the 10th) on SynIRC There are 5 slots for players (preference for Hour of Darkness players) Players Conan GoggleSparks Erris Empty Empty

Because I forget my login info...
I'm in, and calling Knight of Arconis.
Character: Knight Opaque Crystal of House Grey Role: Mage-y Type, specifics pending. Personality and History: Opaque is a bit of an oddball among Arconis aristocracy. Oh, Opaque dabbles in all the right dark magics and puts on the best mysterious aires, but the pony is just so darned loyal! The pony probably got touched in the horn by some Unseen Horror in a Shadow from the Corner, the way Opaque is always looking over shoulders, but remains remarkably stable for somepony who dabbled so early in the arcane arts.
Still rather new to the Court, Opaque earned the position of Arcane Knight purely on merit and deed, unlike most of the rest of the peers of the realm. Archmage-Regent Glimmerbeard the Dusted of House Longbeard appointed Opaque after the knight was able to quell a particularly quarrelsome mage-duel that had been going on for days. After the incident, the Archemage decided the best use of such diplomacy was to send it as far away as possible, hopefully taking with it the slightly off-kilter unicorn it was attached to.

I don't see why not. Count me in I'll take Knight of The Wastes. Character: Knight Cantershy of Frostward Role: Melee DPS Type Personality: At the glance, Cantershy is nothing more than a timid earth pony who does everything to avoid conflicts. Donning a Frystheim Gryphon Mask, Cantershy replaces his kind and compassionate heart to become a cold and stoic pony who strike fear to both Frystheim Gryphons and local dwellers of the wastes. History: Rumored to be The Colt Witch, a mysterious entity who manipulates the economy of the Wastes via connections with the Frystheim Gryphons, Cantershy was capture and imprison in Stronghold Frostward after making a daring attempt to escort a Frystheim Griffin and her hippogriff across the border. His ability to steal intelligence from Stronghold Frostward and evade capture for years caught the attention of Captain Frostbite, who ultimately secured his release in exchange for his service. Present Day: Despite being an earth pony in Pegasus dominating realm, Cantershy earned his position as knight-Captain of Stronghold Frostward on an undisputed record of successful reconnaissance and escorting missions. He was later appointed by Merchant Lord Tribute as The knight of the Wastes for securing a crucial trading route behind Frystheim Griffin's Territory, allowing herbalists of the Hallows to deliver a cure to his plague-ridden city. Reluctant at first, Cantershy accepted his knighthood after learning about the disappearance of Knight-Commander Frostbite and five other knights of Harmony.
Little else is known of Cantershy, especially about his mask and his connection to Frystheim Griffins. Stat: docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AinGcgC9y0ShdDcwLXVER3RYRENoYVYwQ2tIb1g5N3c#gid=5

Just an update, there are still 2 free spaces left in the campaign for anyone who is interested. Currently the realms of Canterlot (Unicorn & Earthpony mixed Realm), Sylvar (Earth pony majority Realm), and The Hallows (Earth pony & Pegasus mixed realm) are open for selection. Also an addition to the rules is that your characters can start with any one item costing no more than 100 florins for free (Masterwork items cost 15 times normal for this item)

I just put up a new post on DA mentioning that there is an open game on TPT, so we'll probably get one or two new people sooner or later.

As you could probably guess when, you know, you were helping me make my character, I'm signing on to this as well. I'm taking Knight of White Cap. Character: Sir Cumulo Nimbus of Storm Keep Role: Scout / Long distance DPS Personality: A Lawful Good by nature, Cumulo is one of those people who believes that eternal vigilence is the only way to avoid screw ups. Whilst he tries to be kind and acts of his code of honor, thus giving him the ability to make friends rather easily, his sensibilities frequently bring up problems between him and the more uncouth sides of society. Having taken to carrying around his weapons at almost all times, he is the quintissential commander and acts as such. History: Nimbus is one of those people who's parents' bless them with an unfortunate name and thus get rather stuffy about it. With the pegasi culture being a lot more savage than that of the Earth Pony or the Unicorn, he was bullied as a kid and thus swore to be better than them rather than sink to their level. As such.. he's really rather a goody two shoes. As most pegasi of white cap, he joined the military when he was very young, getting his cutie mark during a training exercise. As he continued to move up through the air force, he eventually came to the battle of greysky against the griffins, and came away with a few scars but a knightship for acts of valor for his province. Present: Eventually given Storm Keep, a fortress on the border of White Cap seemingly made entirely out of his namesake, he was no longer a simple Commander but a minor lord, not even close to nobility but at least closer to the gentry than most folk. As one of the Knight-commanders of White Cap's wing squadrons, he was chosen to go forwards as a stand in knight of six, due to White Cap's militarism and it's cautious nature. The Knights of Harmony were already taken, they didn't want to risk sending in someone unprepared for improvisation and front line combat. docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AkDwIegi4GmndGxkaFdSYkVqWTBtdkw4MUp5SmlOWlE#gid=1

Figured I would clarify the state of the campaign. In order for me to run the game I need atleast 4 players by Wednesday otherwise I won't have enough players to reliably run things.

so, if we can't get a fourth person by then, is it postponed until we can get a fourth one or is it cancelled? I say this because I might be able to get a friend of mine to join on Thursday

Well, my plans were that if we didn't hit 4 players by Wednesday that I would be canceling the game, though I guess I could postpone the decision until Thursday though that would definitely delay my backup plan of starting off My Little Tyrant this coming Sunday if Moment of Glory Fails.
The basic idea about needing at least 4 players is having any sort of buffer against having to cancel sessions due to attendance, seeing as I can't really run a session with less than 3 players present. Given the fact that I would only have that bare minimum of 3, any time someone had something come up the session would have to be canceled which is not something that helps a campaign out.

Okay, after getting an update unfortunately the call has been made to cancel the campaign due to a lack of players with no immediate sign of additional players.
