Perhaps at the end of the day, a poem is just whatever you say it is. rhythm and rhyme can at times distract from the meaning of the words on the page. The important part is an idea, something nestled deep within, and how you get it across from the depths of your grin. You think your poem is bad, or that it shouldn't count towards life. Well I have news for you buddy, it's already on the list. The moment it left your lips it was added to the wall, alongside the great works of others, be they big or small.

woops double post, I am sorry for my haste. Maybe next time I'll be careful and watch which buttons I press Or maybe next time I'll be quick and make the same mistakes.
That's all that life is in the end, a series of mistakes to learn from or forget from
so lets all learn together, and make mistakes in the wild. Away from all the safety and support of those we rely on and learn to live fully through the power of mistakes.

Beware! Beware! Please Take Care! A livid red sky from a crimson morning sun heralds the second day; the time of Mars is upon us! So toil! Toil! Suffer and toil! Suffer and toil but don’t fall to the soil! Stained with blood, sweat and tears, scale the cruel cliffs of time and grasp your path forward with tired hands and defiant spirit! Wage battles of mind in hallowed halls of holy academia and endure the slings and arrows of colleagues and customers alike, so crude and crass! But worry not, my friend, for your body may suffer ache, you shall emerge from chaos, a titan amongst men! Cut a bloodied swath through the turmoil and bathe in the sweet blood of the day’s hours! Then, and only then, in the aftermath of your grisly baptism, shall you have your victory! And with victory, comes respite. Have a good Tuesday, everyone. Don’t let the day stress you out too bad.
Aaaaaanyhow...now that that awful, awful bit of prosetry is out of the way, I can get onto my announcement. I’ve finalized the playe- [soft mumbling in ear piece I’m apparently wearing now to make this bit work]Wait, what? I gotta do it for this part too? [mumbling in earpiece intensifies]Okay! Fine, fine, I’ll do it! But I’m phoning it in. And I mean really phoning it in. We’re talking, like, forced-Zecora-rhyme quality here, and that’s all you’re getting from me. Sweet Celestia, this thread got weird...Ahem.Though it pains me to do, the time has now come, to announce the four who are joining the fun. I hope you’ll forgive me if you’re not on this list, please do not take it as being dismissed. First player’s a horse, so brilliant and blue. Her mane glitters and shimmers with rainbow hues. Next is a mare who spins a yarn of her own. She was first in this thread, with a cheerful tone. The next player in this is a strapping young colt, the mare in his avatar’s firing a bolt. Last but not least, it's Godna. Godna's the last player. Fuck it, I’m done rhyming. This isn't even part of my contract. In all seriousness, though, based on a number of considerations, I have decided that the player roster will be: Dashie Morning Storm Karnwyn GodnaThank you so, so much to everyone who expressed interest in playing! I’m very sorry to those who didn’t get in; as much as I wish I could, I can’t accomodate everyone Hopefully you’ll still be around for the next game that opens up! We now return to your regularly scheduled...weird...free form poetry session (I’ll archive this thread in a couple days and create an actual campaign thread afterwards.)

Are we posting poetry slam? I could post one if you want though i don't think that'll relate to anything atm Do it anyways! Fine...just this once *Inhale* There is a time when things get all messed up When path of life turns away and runs amuck When everything has turned out of luck There is a time when life goes out of cup Let all this pain go through your strong red heart Let all your anger be bared and release away Because the time pass away all the time Because luck is changed most of the time If there is bad, there will be good to walk just right And other things to do and be… And then, then, then, AND then! Then there is a time when death approaches us When we've all scared and hope to avoid it There is a time when we think about death As much as how our life will come up to Let's all forget such things that you scare of Let's all just live like what we used to be You can't cheat luck and death from time But you can live to the top of your life If there is death, there will be born to walk just right There will be time that good to go and be… Don't afraid of death and all bad times Cause we can live to the top of our lives If there is dusk, there will be dawn to walk just right If there is fate, there will be hope to walk, pass by And then, then, then, AND then There is Life!

Yep, good look folks
On an unrelated note, how do I stop following a thread? Since I wasn't chosen I don't think there'll be anything relevant to me in this thread any more and it'd help keep "participated" useful.

if i put enough line breaks I can call this a poem see lookit
But on a more serious note, erris, I think you can stop following by clicking on the Actions box at the top of the screen when you're viewing the thread. There should be a link there to remove the bookmark. Otherwise, in the forum top bar, there's should be a link to your Bookmarks where you can then select it (hover on the left side of the thread link), then select under Actions to Remove Bookmark.

You know, I realize now that, counting the GM, the girls outnumber the guys in this group. Welcome to the jungle, boys

You know, I realize now that, counting the GM, the girls outnumber the guys in this group. Welcome to the jungle, boys So... about par for the course for Equestrian demographics? I AM OKAY WITH THIS. Perhaps this trend will continue when it comes to the characters' gender distribution as well... Which reminds me of the party make-up for LD. Four mares and one stallion, if I recall correctly? ... And the complete inverse for the other group, back when there was two. I still find that I was playing the only mare in a party with four stallions rather amusing.
