Howdy y'all, and welcome to the Game Recruiting subforum! Here, those interested in running a game can pitch their games to potential players: once your game is ready, it can be moved to the Campaign Discussion subforum. Aside from the standard forum rules, this forum has a few other stipulations:
1. Recruiting/Signup Rules 1.1 Game Thread Titles: The title of a game's thread should give a pithy or otherwise descriptive name for the game. In addition, you must include the game's system in the thread title; this can be just an acronym (examples: SW:MLP for the Savage World of My Little Pony, AiE for Adventures in Equestria, etc). 1.2 Recruiting Policy: To request a spot in a game, you must post in that game's recruiting thread or otherwise contact the Game Master. It is the Game Master's decision on who may join their game and by what process (first-come-first-serve, application, random draw, etc) and we as the moderators cannot force a Game Master to accept you into a game. 1.3 Multiple Games Policy: You have no de jure limit on the number of games that you can join or be in. HOWEVER, if you are already in a game or even several, please consider that there are always many more people looking to play in a game than there are available games. We politely request that you not sign up for more games and allow more people to join instead. 1.4 Ready to Go: As the Game Master, when your game is ready to go live, contact a moderator or admin and we will move your game to the Campaign Discussion subforum.

I have a couple of questions:
1) Are prospective GMs allowed to post "interest gauging" threads? For example, if I have the seeds of an idea for a campaign, but am not 100% certain it would be popular enough to warrant planning out too much ahead of time, could I post a thread to see if it would be something that players would be into? And if yes, I go ahead and plan out more and move on to making a thread, and if no, then I go back to the drawing board without much time lost?
2) Are there any limits to the kinds of play-styles that campaigns posted here can be? When it comes to online play, I prefer play-by-post, as scheduling is always what kills me when it comes to playing and pbp allows for a lot more leeway. I have a forum set up right now that has a die-rolling code implemented, so this would not be a "free RP" and would still operate within the rules of the game.
3) Are Pathfinder games allowed (some rules exist for pony play)? I would more than likely stick with SW:MLP, but it would just be nice to have the option.

Yes, PBP games are allowed. 3. Yes; I should have been more specific with the "All D&D Editions" allowance but Pathfinder is allowed as well.

Are there any games starting up or if not available to join in?

Hey Mrtrickery and welcome to the forums! To answer your question though, any games that are available to join will be in the recruiting forum. There are actually a couple games looking for players and are rapidly filling up but I suggest just popping in said threads and expressing your interest in joining. Worst case scenario is that they already filled up but I'm sure you'll find a game soon if not right away. Anyway, good luck!

Indeed: this is the rules thread. If you're looking for games, you should look in the rest of the subforum.
